About MassPublisher

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to learn about what we're up to...

Basically, we believe that online publishing online today is great in many ways, but still too hard, too costly and just plain confusing. You want to create a great website? Fantastic! Here's a 101 things to consider...

Who has time for that?

MassPublisher is based on the idea that no matter what you want to put online, or where you want to put it, you should have tools that are:

  1. Easy. You should be able to publish powerful websites and web applications without needing an IT department. Much as iPods & iTunes made music simple, personal and therefore better, any content management system or CMS should be easy for non-technical people to use. Complexity is just a symptom of bad design.

  2. Affordable. You should be able to create powerful, dynamic websites just like giant companies and wealthy individuals. Your ideas and your products are just as important even if you don't have the bankroll to build a site from scratch. A publishing platform should give you what you need, at a price you can afford.

  3. Modular. You should be able to use just the pieces you want, when you want. If you want to produce an interactive website with 100s of pages, great. If you just want to publish a picture of your kids playing baseball, great. There's no reason why you should have to buy the farm to get the milk. Just use what you want.

  4. Social. You should be able to share your ideas and content, sure, but you should also be able to use what others have already done to do what you want better, faster and easier than ever before. Social publishing isn't just about marketing, it's about leveraging the vast pool human of brilliance so you can focus on what's important to you.

  5. Intelligent & Non-Linear. Which just means you should get back more than you put in. If you publish jobs, you should learn instantly where you can post your jobs to reach the most potential applicants; if you publish a restaurant wine list, you should be able to leverage wine profiles and images that are already out there to make your list beautiful, dynamic and informative; and no matter what you do, the system should help you do it better next time.

  6. Respectful. Seems like a strange word these days. How many times have you bought a product or service just to find out that it was designed to extract something from you (usually money) rather than truly serving your needs? You should be able to use online publishing tools that respect your time, your budget, and your unique needs.

All of which is just part of what we're building for you. Doesn't mean it's perfect. Doesn't mean it ever will be. But we promise to learn with you, grow with you, and do what we can to make your life easier, your business more lucrative, and your online presence just plain better.

So please give us a try. We can't grow without you.

Warm Regards,
The MassPublisher Team
